After you have used up a shaving soap puck, clean the bowl before adding a new shaving soap puck. Handwash only. Wipe clean with mild soap and water and dry thoroughly after cleaning. If the bowl starts to look a bit dry you can rub with a small amount of mineral oil. Vegetable oil is not recommended as it may go rancid after a period of time and can become gummy which can create an environment for bacteria to form.
